How it works
Precise Tools. Real Results.
Graston Technique® is a patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). It targets scar tissue and restrictions in your fascia, the connective tissue that wraps your muscles, nerves, blood vessels and bones.
Using highly specific strokes with specialized stainless steel instruments, Dr. Paolini finds and breaks down scar tissue and adhesions, restoring pain-free movement and function.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Graston hurt?
You’ll feel firm pressure, and the area may be a little tender or red afterward, much like after a deep massage. Dr. Paolini adjusts the pressure to what you can comfortably handle.
Will it interfere with my training?
No. You can keep training during your Graston treatments, and many people find their training actually gets better.
How soon will I feel a difference?
Many patients feel relief after their first session.
Is Graston the same as massage?
No. Massage works by hand. Graston uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to find and treat scar tissue and restrictions more precisely.
Is Graston covered by insurance?
It often is. See which insurance plans we accept on our insurance page, or call 215-337-3997 to check your plan.
